Do you need help applying for College? Applying for College is time consuming and sometimes intimidating for many parents and high school students. Help make this important time easier by hiring a private college coach.

I will work with both parents and students to aid them in the daunting task of searching for, finding and applying to college. College is not always about getting the best education. Many other factors such as athletics, geographic location and enrollment come into play. Let me help you make the college application process easier.

Why hire a private college coach?

In California, today’s high school counselors are outnumbered over 300:1. In addition to handling your child's college advice, they are also responsible for test administration, student discipline, family issues, and academic counseling. This makes it impossible for them to give your child the focused and undivided attention that he or she needs during this important process. As a private college coach, I will help both parents and students in the college application process.

How will you help my child through the college application process?

We will set up timelines and goals for the college application process. We will find out what your child wants and what will be most beneficial for your child’s success.

It is necessary to develop a criteria about what they want in a college. Many factors go into choosing the right college and I will work one on one with your child to find the right fit.
College application essay
Content is just as important as how well it is written. The essay needs to portray an exuberant and meaningful picture of who you are. The application essay is one way applicants can distinguish themselves from hundreds of other applicants with the same grades, SAT scores and extra-curricular activities.
Interviews
Many colleges rely heavily on the interview process. Know what to do before, during and after the interview. Rehearse some typical questions asked by admission interviewers and know what questions to ask them—interviews are a two way street.
Selling yourself
Learn how to sell your strengths. Colleges look for more then just a high GPA.
Letters of Recommendation
I will assists students in answering some of the tough questions they have about letters of recommendation. Who is the best person to ask? How do I ask for a letter of recommendation?
